How We Stay Current
The Archive Teaches Us More Than the Trade Shows
Certification renewals happen on schedule and everybody attends the component seminars, but
the genuinely useful learning comes out of our own drawer. Four thousand cards, many of them
with two or three dated revisions, is a record of what actually drifted and what actually held.
Every January we pull the previous year's re-gauges and look at what changed. That review is
why our stated drift figures are local numbers rather than manufacturer averages, and it is why
the recommended re-check interval for wedges here is shorter than the one you will read in a
magazine.
