Six Rooms, Two Programmes, One Method

Each session below runs the same five rungs. What changes between them is which measurements matter most and how long you spend in the bay.

ROOM 01

Driver Sessions

The club most often sold too long. We start by gauging what you have, then work length down until strike location on the face tape stops wandering. Total mass and head weight come next, loft last. Seventy-five minutes.

Full detail →

Measured Here

  • Playing length and grip build
  • Strike pattern from face tape
  • Shaft mass and butt frequency
  • Head mass and swingweight
  • Static loft and face angle at address
ROOM 02

Iron Sessions

Our busiest booking and the one where the gauge card usually produces the biggest surprise. Lie board work across the set, a length plan built off wrist-to-floor, and a weight scheme so the long irons and the wedges belong to the same family. Ninety minutes.

Full detail →

Measured Here

  • Lie angle per club, board marks recorded
  • Length progression across the set
  • Loft ladder and gapping into the wedges
  • Shaft mass, steel or graphite decision
  • Swingweight consistency, club to club
ROOM 03

Fairway Wood Sessions

Half of these end with us suggesting a different club entirely. Before tuning a 3-wood we check whether the slot is better spent on a hybrid or a driving iron, using the gaps already written on your card. Seventy-five minutes.

Full detail →

Measured Here

  • Turf contact on the strip, not just off a tee
  • Playing length against your driver length
  • Sole width and leading edge behaviour
  • Carry gap to the driver and the next club down
ROOM 04

Hybrid Sessions

A hybrid only earns its place if it beats both neighbours. We gauge the longest iron you trust and the shortest wood you like, then find the club that fits between them at a length you can still control. Seventy-five minutes.

Full detail →

Measured Here

  • Carry gaps either side of the proposed slot
  • Length relative to the iron it replaces
  • Shaft mass matched to the iron set, not the woods
  • Turf interaction from a tight lie
ROOM 05

Wedge Sessions

Bounce and grind chosen against Tulsa bermuda and local bunker sand, plus a loft ladder that closes the hole under the pitching wedge. We grind existing wedges more often than we sell new ones. Seventy-five minutes.

Full detail →

Measured Here

  • Current lofts, gauged rather than assumed
  • Effective bounce through the turf strip
  • Sand behaviour on a filled tray
  • Shaft mass relative to the iron set
  • Groove wear and remaining life
ROOM 06

Putter Sessions

Run on a roll-out surface stimped before every session so head mass can be matched to the green speed you actually putt on. Eye line, length and lie get sorted before anybody discusses head shape. Seventy-five minutes.

Full detail →

Measured Here

  • Eye line position relative to the ball
  • Playing length and effective lie at address
  • Head mass against measured green speed
  • Grip size and its effect on hand pressure
  • Start direction from a gate drill
Two Programmes

Sessions That Repeat On Purpose

These are not one-off fittings. Both exist because the golfer or the equipment is expected to change on a known schedule.

PROGRAMME A

Junior Sizing, Sundays

Forty-five minutes, held on Sunday mornings, aimed at players under seventeen. Height and wrist-to-floor are measured barefoot against the wall, then a cut-down or extended chassis is specified so the same set can follow a growth spurt rather than being replaced. A re-size within twelve months is half price, and the card is written for the parent to read.

PROGRAMME B

Annual Re-Gauge

Forty minutes for anyone with a card on file. Loft, lie, length and grip diameter get re-measured against the original readings, up to four bends are included, and an updated card is issued with the previous one archived. Booked most often in March, before the Oklahoma season gets going properly.

Book the One That Fits the Problem

Not sure which room you belong in? Describe the miss and we will point you at the right session, or tell you not to bother yet.
